Kynance Swim
Kynance is a world class swimming location and there are loads of swim routes out of this stunning beach. On this swim we'll tackle Asparagus Island (if the conditions allow), otherwise we'll pick the most appropriate route.
Swim is approx 1500m. We can easily add a little distance, if anyone wants to swim a little further. We'll simply add this distance at the end of the swim.
Meeting on the beach for a 1.30pm start. *Please note that the car park will get really busy. If it's raining there shouldn't be a problem. If sunny, might be best to park earlier and have a morning on the beach or in the cafe. Alternatively, you could park up in Lizard Village and walk the coastal path, appox 2-2.5km.
The car park is National Trust and there is a cafe on the beach, offering refreshments.
*As usual...we can take car keys with us on the swim. We could also take a bank card, if you fancy the cafe. I'd leave any other valuable in your car. There is a good 10 minute walk down onto the beach.
*Should the conditions be poor for this swim, we'll look at Church Cove (the one on the east side) and possibly Cadgwith/Devil's Frying Pan...or a another suitable alternative. If this event gets fully booked join the waiting list and we'll look to create new spaces.
