Goodygrane Lido Session - Soft Opening
It's quite literally taken bloody (I cut my fingers a few times), sweat (worked through several heatwaves!) and tears (nearly) to complete the 'Swim Shed' but come Oct 4th, it'll be 100% ready! Feel free to join us in celebrating the completion of this mammoth build. We've come up with a VIP list of regulars, friends and family to come and enjoy the fruits of our labour at no cost. All you have to do is book a time slot. Please do let us know if you can't make it. Sauna-dip sessions are limited by capacity (first come, first served) but there are plenty of swim-only spots available.
THE SWIM SHED : the idea is that as well as enjoying a stunning swim and/or sauna-dip session, participants can also then pop over to the 'Swim Shed' and warm up, relax, socialise, pull out the essentials (coffee and cake)... Have a morning out, rather than 'just' swim and go straight home.
These sessions presents a fantastic opportunity to swim and/or sauna in the stunning 'swimming' quarry on the Via Ferrata / Quayside Cafe site. It's not normally open to the public, we've been lucky enough to arrange some swimming action! Follow the signs for Via Ferrata / Quayside Cafe, avoiding the BF Adventures turn off. Once you've booked, you'll receive a site map and directions to the quarry, through the booking confirmation email.
Options include a straight 55 minute swim-sauna session, with the sauna available for the entirety of the session or swim-only options available. Sauna goers can turn up 10 minutes early, if they desire and swim before getting in the sauna. Earliest entry to the sauna is stated on the booking time.
Sauna and swim sessions available at :
9am - 6pm
