West Cornwall Swimming Holiday

Self-drive holiday in West Cornwall. We're running our world class(!) swimming holiday in West Cornwall. We're suggesting that you stay in or around the Penzance area.

* We typically pick an area where we can offer 2 swims and reduce driving time. The first swim of the day is generally timed to avoid traffic and allows us to park up for the day and not have to worry about the potential issue of parking. We'll then choose a great local option for lunch.

For us, this is the perfect location to base a swimming holiday. Swims are approx. 2km in length (although we can and do offer shorter and longer options). Typical pace is anywhere from 1.30 - 3 minutes per 100m, roughly 17-30 minutes per km (roughly the pace of the middle lane in a public swimming session). Generally, provided you can cover the distance you're more than welcome. If unsure, give us a call before booking. 

2 swims on the Tuesday, 2 Wednesday and 1 Thursday morning (June 25-27). Self-drive or you can car share once settled in and having met the group. 5 swims over the 3 days. Morning swims typically 9-9.30am, followed by an afternoon swim around 1-1.30pm...giving you plenty of time to relax on the beach or explore the local area in the afternoon. £145.

CONDITIONS AND SUITABILITY

We rarely have 'set' swims, we'll base all of the holidays swims on the conditions, for your safety and enjoyment. We sometimes have quicker and slower swimmers, which is absolutely fine (we'll simply split up the safety team). For this time of year you can expect water temperatures of 14 - 17 degrees. For us it's more about being able to complete the distances required. We field a lot of emails and calls every year from nervous swimmers. As a business our first thought is always safety. We have an extremely experienced water safety team and will also pick the safest swims available. Below is a video demonstrating the type of conditions you can expect :
