Secret actors. Secret spaces.
'A theatrical gem' (The Upcoming)
‘Vivid and entirely immersive’ (British Theatre Guide)
Julius Caesar is a pulsating, portentous, thriller, brought to you in an immersive and promenade production.
Beware the Ides of March and secret actors in secret spaces. Become the citizens of Rome, as actors reveal themselves in the audience and throughout Reading Abbey Ruins (10 minutes' walk from the Elizabeth Line), with the 'thrillingly new' (British Theatre Guide) Secret Shakespeare.
The Upcoming review: 'Imperceptibly, a kind of game runs on the background of the audience’s mind: as the show goes on, one tries to guess whether someone walking their dog might be part of the next scene, or where the voice of the crowd cheering Julius Caesar might come from.'
