'An Introduction to the Seedling Model and The ABC's of Behaviour'

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming parent evening focused on “The ABC's of Behaviour” as part of the SEEDLING Parent Training series. This informative session will introduce parents and caregivers to a simple but powerful framework for understanding behaviour and guiding it in a supportive and effective way.

• Tuesday 2nd of September
• @7:00pm-8:30pm
• Via Zoom

Overview:

This 1.5-hour session will be led by our highly qualified Behaviour Analysts. Parents and caregivers will learn how behaviours are influenced by what happens before (antecedents) and after (consequences), and how this understanding can be used to encourage positive behaviours and reduce challenging behaviour.

Parents and caregivers will gain practical tools to support the following:

• Understanding antecedents (triggers in the environment that happen before behaviour).
• Defining and observing behaviours clearly and objectively.
• Recognising how consequences influence whether a behaviour is likely to happen again.
• Exploring the function of behaviour - the “why” behind actions.
• Identifying strategies to manage challenging behaviours such as tantrums, defiance, and aggression.
• Encouraging independence, communication, and problem-solving in children.

By learning and applying the ABC model, parents will be better equipped to guide behaviour in a positive and proactive way, helping create more harmonious routines at home and beyond.
