European dreams - two films about Europe
Need help?
We are showing two films, and this will be open to the general public, not only Selfe and EM supporters and members. The first is a short 10 minute film with moving visuals and interviews from Ukraine, following Mike Galsworthy's recent visit there.
Here's some more information about the Ukraine film which European Movement are still putting the finishing touches to!
"Flags in the Wind is a film by the European Movement UK which explores the humanitarian impact of the Ukraine-Russia war on the people of Ukraine.
The documentary parallels the United Kingdom’s struggles in the Second World War with the ongoing experiences of the Ukrainian people, questioning whether the lessons of history have been heeded.
With contributions from Ukrainian citizens, veterans, senior politicians, and rehabilitation centre clinicians, Flags in the Wind delivers a sober message at a time when Europe celebrates 80 years since Victory in Europe Day."
The film will be approximately 25 minutes long and a more detailed synopsis is here:
The second is a film from 2018 which will reignite the fires of frustration and anger that we all feel about Brexit being the first populist victory that led to so much else. Any questions please contact sel4europe@gmail.com.
