Invasives Species Workshop

Invasives Species Workshop with CALM Project staff

This session is designed for adults (18+). There's plenty for younger explorers across the festival. Take a look at our family-friendly activities throughout the week.

Join us for an introduction to invasive species and the threats they can pose to our rivers and wider environment. Learn how invasive species can damage river ecosystems, impact native wildlife and vegetation, contribute to erosion and have knock-on effects for water quality.

The event will also explore practical management and control techniques, along with how local communities can help identify and report invasive species through the CALM Invasives Mapping Survey. A chance to learn more, share local sightings and discover how everyone can play a role in protecting the River Finn catchment.

This project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB)
