FROM US, FOR US bringt Menschen zusammen, um gemeinsam kreativ zu sein, Geschichten zu teilen und neue Leute kennenzulernen. Freut euch auf interaktive Workshops, somalische Poesie, Comedy und Games – und auf einen Tag voller guter Gespräche und gemeinsamer Erlebnisse.

In zwei Workshops geht es um unsere Geschichten, unsere Kultur und darum, wie wir sie auf unterschiedliche Weise weitergeben und bewahren.

Im Digital Archive Workshop lädt Idel Rasheed, Founder von Waaberi Phone und Co-Founder von Koor Archives, dazu ein, persönliche Erinnerungen und bedeutungsvolle Gegenstände zu erkunden und gemeinsam Wege des digitalen Archivierens kennenzulernen.

Im Somali Poetry Workshop führt Ibrahim Hirsi, Editor des Journal Gobanimo und Co-Founder von Koor Archives, in die Welt der somalischen Poesie ein. Gemeinsam werden Gedichte und Songtexte betrachtet, übersetzt und interpretiert, bevor die Teilnehmer selbst mit Sprache und kurzen poetischen Texten experimentieren.

Am Abend erwartet euch The Propaganda Tour – eine Live Comedy & Game Night von Saber Aidarus, somalisch-niederländischer Comedian und Creator von SaberOH!, bekannt für seine animierten Geschichten über somalische Kultur und Familienleben. Freut euch auf Live-Storytelling, spontane Interaktionen mit dem Publikum, Mafia und fragwürdige Meinungen. Außerdem könnt ihr DULMI, Sabers Kartenspiel, ausprobieren und kaufen: Baut die stärkste Familie auf, ohne beim Lügen erwischt zu werden.

Egal, ob ihr allein kommt oder mit Freunden – es gibt genug Gelegenheiten, neue Leute kennenzulernen.

FROM US, FOR US brings people together to share stories, get creative and spend a day with each other. Expect interactive workshops, Somali poetry, comedy and games — and a chance to meet new people, exchange ideas and connect through shared experiences.

Across two workshops, you can explore different ways of telling and preserving stories.

In the Digital Archive Workshop, Idel Rasheed, Founder of Waaberi Phone and Co-Founder of Koor Archives, invites participants to explore personal memories and meaningful objects while discovering different ways of digitally preserving them.

In the Somali Poetry Workshop, Ibrahim Hirsi, Editor of Journal Gobanimo and Co-Founder of Koor Archives, offers an introduction to the world of Somali poetry. Together, participants will explore, translate and interpret poems and song lyrics before experimenting with language and short poetic texts themselves.

In the evening, The Propaganda Tour brings you a live comedy and game night by Saber Aidarus, a Somali-Dutch comedian and creator of SaberOH!, known for his animated stories about Somali culture and family life. Expect live storytelling, crowd interactions, Mafia and questionable opinions. You’ll also get to play DULMI, Saber’s bluffing card game about building the strongest family without getting caught lying.

Come alone or bring your friends — you’ll probably end up talking to strangers anyway.
