Always wanted to learn how to sew? This friendly beginner workshop is the perfect place to start! Designed for complete beginners, this hands-on session will guide you through the essential sewing machine skills needed to begin your sewing journey with confidence.

You’ll learn how to thread up a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, sew straight lines and seams, tackle corners neatly, and understand the importance of pressing techniques for a professional finish. Throughout the workshop, you’ll build your skills step-by-step while creating your own colourful patchwork cushion to take home.

With expert guidance in a relaxed and supportive environment, this workshop is ideal for anyone wanting to learn a new creative skill, gain confidence using a sewing machine, and enjoy the satisfaction of making something by hand.

You will need to bring your own sewing machine along with an empty bobbin, reel of thread, scissors, notebook and pen.
