Soft and Cozy - A Playful Somatic Connection Field

Share love and care!

Soft & Cozy is an invitation to slow down, soften, and connect. It is a playful evening where we explore what becomes possible when we meet ourselves and each other with curiosity, care and consent. Through simple embodied practices, playful encounters, movement, touch, emotional expression and spaciousness, we create opportunities to experience connection in many different ways. You don't need to be experienced, confident, sensual, social or “good” at anything. You can participate as much or as little as feels right. Come as you are, bring your curiosity, and discover what happens when pleasure, playfulness and genuine human connection have room to breathe.

WHAT IS SOFT & COZY?

Soft & Cozy is a small-group evening of embodied connection, play, pleasure and consent.

Think of it as a playground for grown-ups: a space where you can explore how you relate to yourself and other people through movement, sensation, play, conversation, emotion and consensual touch.

There is no single way to participate.

You might move, dance, laugh, cuddle, play, observe, talk, rest, feel something unexpectedly emotional, or simply enjoy being around other people. You might discover that you want more closeness than usual—or that you need more space. Both are welcome.

The evening is gently structured rather than completely unstructured. We begin together, establish the agreements and create a shared sense of safety. From there, Kale and Kathi guide you through a series of embodied practices designed to awaken your senses, invite curiosity and make connection easier.

Later, the space opens into an Open Playground, where you can follow your own curiosity and choose which of the different “theme islands” you want to explore.

The emphasis is not on achieving a particular experience. There is no goal to become more intimate, more sensual, more emotional or more connected.

The invitation is simply to notice what feels good, what feels interesting, what feels nourishing—and what doesn't.

CONNECTION WITHOUT PERFORMANCE

Many of us have learned to perform versions of ourselves for other people. We know how to be attractive, confident, productive, desirable, polite, independent or “fine.”

Soft & Cozy offers something different.

You don't have to impress anyone.

You don't have to be sexy.

You don't have to touch anyone.

You don't have to receive touch.

You don't have to disclose anything personal.

You don't even have to know what you want yet.

Instead, we invite you to become curious about your own experience.

What happens when you slow down enough to notice your body?

What happens when you ask for something you want?

What happens when you say no—and discover that the connection remains?

What happens when someone listens to your boundary without taking it personally?

What happens when pleasure isn't something you have to earn or perform, but something you can experience together?

CONSENT AS A PRACTICE

Consent at Soft & Cozy isn't simply a rule about saying yes or no. It is something we practise together.

We explore asking, listening, communicating, noticing body language, checking in, changing our minds and respecting boundaries.

A “no” is welcome.

A “not right now” is welcome.

A “maybe” is welcome.

A “yes, but differently” is welcome.

And sometimes the most interesting answer is: “I don't know yet.”

You are encouraged to discover your own edges rather than pushing through them.

We also recognise that consent isn't only about what happens between two people. It includes your relationship with yourself: noticing when you are tired, overwhelmed, excited, activated, curious or simply ready to go home.

PLAY AS A WAY OF CONNECTING

Play gives us permission to become less serious.

It can be silly, awkward, creative, tender, mischievous, joyful or completely ridiculous.

Through play we can meet people without immediately needing to know who they are, what they do, what their relationship status is, or what they are looking for.

You can experiment with different ways of relating without having to turn every interaction into a friendship, romance, sexual encounter or anything else.

Sometimes a few minutes of playful connection with another person is enough.

Sometimes something deeper emerges.

We leave room for both.

PLEASURE WITHOUT PRESSURE

Pleasure is another thread running through the evening.

Rather than defining pleasure narrowly, we invite you to notice the many forms it can take: warmth, movement, laughter, softness, curiosity, anticipation, relaxation, being witnessed, giving attention, receiving attention, feeling your feet on the floor, sharing food, or simply feeling at home in your body.

Pleasure doesn't have to be sexual.

And sexual or sensual energy, when it arises, doesn't automatically mean that anything needs to happen.

We want to create a space where pleasure can exist without obligation.

FOUR THEME ISLANDS

During the Open Playground, the room becomes a landscape of different possibilities.

Each island offers a different doorway into connection—for example, movement and contact, sensory exploration, playful interaction, or quieter forms of intimacy.

You can visit one island, several islands, or none of them.

You can participate with another person, with several people, or by yourself.

You can move between experiences according to your own energy.

The islands aren't challenges to complete. They are invitations.

Follow your curiosity.

A SPACE FOR DIFFERENT KINDS OF PEOPLE

Soft & Cozy is intended for people who are curious about alternative ways of relating and who value authenticity, consent and exploration.

You don't need to identify as sex-positive, kinky, polyamorous, queer, a dancer, a bodyworker or an intimacy expert to come.

You also don't need previous experience with contact improvisation, tantra, sexological bodywork or embodied practices.

What matters most is your willingness to be curious, communicate clearly, respect other people's boundaries and take responsibility for your own experience.

We are creating a space where people with different bodies, identities, relationship styles, experiences and comfort levels can coexist.

Come curious. Come cautious. Come playful. Come exactly as you are.

There is nothing you need to prove.

Just come and see what becomes possible when we make a little more room for softness, connection and play.

HOW?

A get together, as a common introduction

Through guided embodied practices from contact improvisation, play, emotional release and consent practices.

WHY?

You’ve sensed something powerful here: Joy is a form of resistance.

"It’s a radical act to enjoy yourself and grow with others." (Sonya Renee Taylor)

In a world that often feels isolating, choosing to be "seen" in your most authentic, wounded, and desired-filled state is the ultimate healing. It moves the needle from "self-help" to collective flourishing.

Let’s share play time as a collective. Let’s support each other in our healing processes. Let’s have fun and let’s be our most authentic version. Let’s put out the love the world needs! Let’s nourish ourselves with it and take home the feeling of connection.

WHO?

You will meet some like-minded humans who identify as playful or an ally of playness. You are living and loving a style not yet popular.

This event is a small-group intimacy for deep and lightful connection. We will be up to 25 participants and the 2 spaceholders. Kale & Kathi co-create a framework with you for safer spaces, as inclusive as possible. They empower you to explore pleasure and connection your way. They encourage you to strengthen the awareness of your senses. They support you to get into consensual sensual encounters.

Your Guides

Kale & Kathi aren't just hosts; they are Spaceholders. Their focus on Consensual Encounters and Sexological Embodiment ensures that while the feathers might be flashy, the boundaries are rock solid.

Working as a sex therapist, sex educator, sexological bodyworker, and relationship coach, Kale brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to their practice. Currently based in Berlin, they identify as polyamorous, slutty, a sex worker, kinky, genderfluid, and queer. With a background in education, science, creative art, and sexual health, Jeremy holds multiple university degrees and has facilitated numerous workshops on sexuality, relationships, and pleasure. Kale is dedicated to supporting individuals, couples and relationship constellations of all orientations and gender identities, with a focus on respecting consent and boundaries. Kale brings a queer-positive, anti-racist, and intersectional feminist perspective to the work, informed and inspired by the principles of decolonization, anti-patriarchy, anti-capitalism, and pro-earth spirituality.

Positionality Statement:
I am a 55-year-old, gender-fluid, queer individual, born on the unceded lands of the Wurunjiri people in Naarn. My positions of privilege include being able-bodied, middle-class, well-educated, and holding positions as a sex therapist, educator, coach, and sexological bodyworker. I come from a line of Jewish Eastern European ancestors who were displaced migrants from the Holocaust.
These positions influence how I perceive myself and others. I aspire to be conscious of my privileges and blind spots. I am open to having people help me become more aware of what I need to learn and practice.

Meet Kathi

Kathi (she/they) is a gender-non-conforming, polyamorous, pansexual human who just entered their thirties. Berlin based, Kathi is a sexual life coach, sexual educator and sexologist. Working with different embodiment approaches (Sexocorporel, tantra, sexological bodywork), Kathi is driven by pleasure and considers pleasure activism as a way of loving radically, in order to counteract patriarchy and capitalism. Their love to participate and hold space at sexpositive events is aiming to spread love and lust. With this and individual sessions, they wish to support others in finding their personal fulfilment. Kathi has expertise (and is constantly evolving) in critical whiteness, relationship anarchy, BDSM and sex work.

Positionality Statement
My so far detected privileges (it’s a life-long process): I am perceived as a white European, cis-passing, I hold two masters’ degrees, speak six languages and was supported financially half my life through my middle-class parents who are both academics and white. I try to be aware of those as well as live my most authentic self - I am grateful for feedback to be able to grow and shed light on blind spots.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

"Am I welcome here?"

Our wish is that you can be your true self. This includes all of you, emotions, thoughts, fears, arousal…everything. You don’t have to be anything, or not anything.

“What to wear for the event?”

You are welcome to wear anything from comfortable to extravagant, or both. You can bring some different clothes and change if you want. Wear something that makes you feel good.

“How do I prepare?"

If possible, please bring: water bottle, towel/canga, tools you like to play with (paint, food, anything is welcome!). But no need!
So whatever you need to prepare yourself, you can do: take a nap, call your babysitter or your therapist, bring a cake, your favorite teddy bear, a friend,... jokes aside: you can really do all of the above! Just whatever serves you is good.

”How is the space prepared for me?”

At Wamos, there are showers, a kitchen, and cozy mattresses and pillows. We will bring a homemade vegan soup (please get in touch if you really want soup and have allergies/food restrictions!) and tea.

“Do I have to participate in everything?”

You don’t. Maybe a practice or the atmosphere is not for you at a certain moment. You are free to move around the space the way you like. Take a nap if you haven’t had one in a long time. Journal. Eat. Shower. Hide underneath the blanket. Listen to your body. We would like to provide a space in which you can be as much yourself as possible. If you really feel uncomfortable, you can always reach out for support. Or you can leave at any point. You are also welcome back to the practices/circle anytime.
