The San Fernando Valley Master Chorale (SFVMC) upcoming concert, “From Campfire to Concert Hall: A Legacy of American Folk Music,” is truly something special. It’s a journey through the rich and heartfelt origins of American folk music — from across-the-pond treasures like "Loch Lomond," "Going Home," and "Amazing Grace" to Civil War-era classics like "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," "Wayfaring Stranger," and "Lift Every Voice and Overcome."
You’ll also be treated to stunning original arrangements by our incredible Associate Artistic Director, John Bergquist — the kind of music that gives you chills and makes your heart swell. Whether you're a longtime choral fan or just love good music, this concert will be a treat for all ages.
