Grounded Live with Dare Balogun

A Listening Session with Dare Balogun

Dare Balogun is a British-Nigerian DJ, selector and archivist with a deep love for African music and the stories held within it. Through his NTS show and wider selections, he traces connections between highlife, juju, soukous, makossa and beyond, bringing older sounds into conversation with the music they continue to influence today.

We’re really excited to give Dare the room to dig a little deeper, sharing music, stories and whatever else feels right in the moment. An evening to settle in, listen closely, and follow the threads through Dare’s musical world.

Shai Space is a grassroots music venue in South East London dedicated to intentional experiences through music, food, and connection. Shai blends the quality of a listening space with the warmth of a friend's living room. A place where artists and audiences come together to slow down, share space, and feel deeply.
