Karen Nyame KG has been part of the fabric of UK dance music for well over a decade, first making her mark through the UK funky movement before building a sound that pulls from African and diasporic club music in all its forms. Karen Nyame KG is so often heard in spaces built for movement, which is exactly why we’re excited to hear what happens when things slow down. For this session, we’re giving her the room to share the music behind the energy - the influences, softer corners and unexpected sounds that don’t always find their way into a club set.

An evening to get comfortable and hear another side of KG’s musical world.

Shai Space is a grassroots music venue in South East London dedicated to intentional experiences through music, food, and connection. Shai blends the quality of a listening space with the warmth of a friend's living room. A place where artists and audiences come together to slow down, share space, and feel deeply.
