Sizwe Banzi is Dead

A powerful play by Athol Fugard, John Kani and Winston Ntshona, addressing the realities of apartheid in mid-twentieth-century South Africa. This revival featuring the original 2014 cast of Dion Johnson and Mark Humes. The story follows Sizwe, who struggles with identity and survival in a repressive system, ultimately leading him to adopt a new persona in order to find work and support his family. Through humour and poignant moments, the play examines themes of dignity, resilience, and the complexities of human existence under oppression.
