Free Munay Meditation with Ángel Herrera
The Munay Meditation is a traditional Peruvian form of meditation. Through this practice, we can experience the beauty of Munay, the unconditional love of the Universe that flows within each of us.
The meditation guides us step by step into deeper layers of consciousness. We first connect with our own sense of oneness and wholeness as human beings, allowing ourselves to breathe deeply, relax and rest. Then we journey deeper and remember that we are connected with all of humanity, eventually experiencing our oneness with the entire cosmos.
Duration: approximately 90 minutes
The session will start at 1.30pm NYC / 6.30pm UK / 7.30pm CEST. A recording will be available for all ticket holders for 30 days.
Participants are encouraged to prepare as follows:
- Comfortable clothing suitable for gentle physical exercises
- Water
- A yoga mat and blanket
- If available, a cup of cacao
By registering for this event, all participants will also be added to the ShamanPortal and Sonqo newsletters, keeping you informed about future events, teachings and activities. You are, of course, free to unsubscribe from either newsletter at any time.
About Ángel

Ángel Herrera comes from Cusco, Peru, and is half Quechua on his mother’s side. For more than 15 years, he has dedicated himself to the ancient knowledge, cosmology and healing teachings of the peoples of the Andes and the Amazon. He is co-founder of the Etnikas Clinic of Integral Medicine in Cusco and founder of Sonqo, a non-profit organisation that works together with Qero masters and Shipibo shamans to preserve Indigenous knowledge and promote sustainable ways of living in harmony with local ecosystems. He has also founded a holistic travel company with this purpose in mind.
Ángel’s training and spiritual path have been shaped by his father, Don Ángel Gustavo Herrera, and by various Qero masters, including Don Jose Quispe, Don Benjamin Samata and Claudio Quispe, as well as Don Benjamin Mahua, who initiated him into the master plant Ayahuasca. Ángel’s deep connection with the plants of the Amazon is also reflected in his involvement for around ten years in Syntropic Jungle Care reforestation projects, helping to preserve biodiversity in the Amazon region.
Today, Ángel lives and works as a bridge between ancient traditions and the modern world. He regularly facilitates cacao ceremonies and shares the spiritual and connecting power of Pachamama Cacao. Through his work, he seeks to open new pathways for people to connect with themselves and with Munay, the unconditional love of the Universe, and to cultivate a more conscious relationship with nature and life.
