Trolldom - Scandinavian Folk Shamanism with Johannes B. Gårdbäck

An introduction to Swedish rituals of prophecy, spirit travel, healing and offering gifts to the spirit world.

In this class you will be introduced to the Scandinavian tradition of Trolldom and explore some of its traditional practices and ritual forms. You will learn about common methods of prophecy, including Årsgång, or the Yearly Walk, and Steeping, as well as how practitioners have traditionally worked with the natural and spirit worlds.

The class will also explore the use of elemental tools in spirit travel, approaches to healing, and the importance of offerings and gifts in establishing and maintaining relationships with the spirit world. Along the way, you will gain an insight into the beliefs, practices and ritual structures that form part of Swedish folk magic and Trolldom.

The session is intended as an introduction and offers an opportunity to discover the traditions of Scandinavian folk shamanism and the ways in which they have been used to seek knowledge, work with spirits and engage with the unseen world.

The webinar will start at 2pm NYC / 7pm UK / 8pm CEST. A recording will be available for all ticket holders for 30 days.
