Free Hands for Life Course - CPR & AED Training

This Hands for Life CPR Irish Heart Foundation Programme will cover the following :

● Empower attendees to be competent in recognising cardiac emergencies, make a call to the ambulance service and improve the quality of bystander CPR

● Raise awareness around using AEDs and strengthening the links in the chain of survival in our communities

Course Objectives : 

● Recognise cardiac arrest

● Confidently make a 112 /999 call

● Describe the steps involved in hands-only CPR for an adult

● Practice the sequence to provide hands-only CPR to an adult

● Describe how to use an AED

● Understand how to perform CPR on a child

● Describe when and how to help someone who is choking

● Know the difference between heart attack and cardiac arrest

● Recognise the signs of a stroke

Please arrive at 6.50 pm for a 7 pm start.
