SHAPESHIFT is a series of events exploring constant transformation and the relationship between humanity, creativity, and innovation.
With the help of diverse lecturers and activities, we dive deep into how creativity, art, science, technology, and curiosity shape and reshape our world.
How do we embrace change? Are we ready to learn and evolve constantly?
The theme of SHAPESHIFT Festival 2024 was inspired by recent and ongoing events in the world. It challenges the relationship between vision and action, what we believe in and what we actually do, or don’t, to support those beliefs as individuals and as members of a technology-driven society.
Is It Too Much To Dream of Utopia?
Suddenly, we find ourselves far from the future we were promised. Or imagined.
Regardless of the endless opportunities we have at our fingertips thanks to technology and science we’ve somehow managed to create a reality that sometimes comes closer to a nightmare than to a dream. For now. Where have we gone wrong? What can we do about it at this point? How can we use creativity and innovation to rebuild the world into a place free from conflict, polarisation, environmental damage, mental and physical hindrances? How can we make a long-term impact that positively affects our global community and the world around us for generations to come?A lot of questions and only three days to try to find the answers to them. Together.
Save the date: 31 May-2 June 2024.
SHAPESHIFT is for you, for your neighbor, for every student, for artists, and engineers. SHAPESHIFT is for everyone. For the forward-thinkers, the individuals, and the curious shapeshifters.
