MIC's Weekend Abroad

Come join us for a weekend abroad...right here in Sheboygan! Spend a day soaking in the atmosphere of each of our sister cities. On September 19, observe the ancient art of Kendo sword fighting, try out our ramen bar, and enjoy other cultural activities. On September 20, enjoy a new twist on our classic Esslingenfest with brats, music, and German games. Each day offers a totally different experience, so be sure to stop by for both! All proceeds will go to programming that promotes cross-cultural partnership exchanges between our sister cities in Tsubame, Japan and Esslingen, Germany. Free admission for kids four and under!

Day 1 (Japan) 10:00 AM- 5:00 PM:

• Kendo martial art demonstration

• Cultural activities and games

• Mystery “Lucky bags” ($)

• Face-painting ($)

• Ramen noodle bar ($)

• Sora Matcha Tasting (VIP Experience)

Day 2 (Germany) 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM:

• German music performance

• Christmas cards for Esslingen

• German games

• Stein holding contest

• Brats and beer ($)

• Beer tasting (VIP Experience)

There will also be snacks, wine and exclusive merchandise for sale.
