All our home maintenance courses are hands-on, practical sessions. Each class includes plenty of safety advice, discussion and support. You’ll learn about tools, materials, professional tricks of the trade and the theory behind each technique you’ll be using.

When: SheCan Evening Classes - Tuesdays for five weeks, 7 pm - 9 pm each week.

• Drilling different materials

Week 3

• Shelves, doors and hinges
• Putting up shelves, pictures, curtain rails
• What’s in the wall?
• Different fixings, different walls, fixing to ceilings
• Loose, wobbly hinges
• Kitchen cabinet hinges, and how to adjust them
• When to call the experts

Week 4

• Plumbing, finding
• and fixing leaks
• Kitchen sink dramas
• Shower drains and replacing shower hoses
• Fitting new taps
• Where’s my stopcock!
• Sealing bath and shower surrounds
• Fixing wobbly taps
• Toilet flush problems
• Basic boiler troubleshooting

• Decorating
• Preparation
