Afterland: A Post-Apocalyptic Festival

The world ended. Shediac kept the kettle on.

It's 2285, and the survivors have assembled at the warm shore. Afterland is a three-day post-apocalyptic festival, and it arrives loud: rat rods and hot rods growling, zombies drifting through the dusk, and a salvage market heaped with whatever the old world left behind.

Then the engines cool and the fires take over. Storytellers compete by firelight, where embellishment isn't permitted. It's mandatory. Films flicker on the drive-in screen after dark. The weekend ends with a planting rite, because someone has to believe in next year. And before anyone asks your name, someone will hand you a cup.
