Guided Walk: 'What's buzzin' at Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve? 4pm Insect Guided Walk

Fri 24 Apr 2026 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve, S13 7BR

Come and find out 'What's buzzin' at Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve!

Join us for a free guided walk around the nature reserve where we will be spotting and recording wildlife from 4pm - 5:15pm.

Discover the bees, butterflies, moths, and other invertebrates that are flying and darting around the reserve. Maybe you'll spot a peacock butterfly or a banded demoiselle damselfly near the ponds!

Suitable for both beginners and experienced insect spotters. All ages are welcome to attend. Please wear sturdy footwear and sensible clothing.
This is a bookable event with limited spaces available.

We will have activities taking place from 3pm to 9pm, so please come along even if the guided walks are fully booked.

There are several walks available to book. If you’re unable to attend this time slot, there will be another walk starting at 6pm, followed by a special moth and bat walk at 7:30pm

There are toilet facilities and seating at the visitor centre and Cherry Blossom Coffee kart will be available for hot drinks and snacks.

We will be recording the data as part of the Sheffield City Nature Challenge.
