Join us for a guided walk around Ughill Farm with Keith Tomkins, Nature Recovery Manager, to discover how we've been managing the site with wildlife at its heart.
During the walk, you will:
Learn how we are building climate resilience across the farm
See examples of recent habitat creation work, including woodland development, re-wetted areas, and measures to slow the flow of water during periods of heavy rainfall
Have the opportunity to ask questions to Keith and dedicated volunteer Wendy, who have been involved with the farm since the Trust purchased it in December 2023
Enjoy a walk in the countryside while spotting some of the site's wildlife
This morning walk is approximately 7 km, covering some uneven ground. You can expect to be on your feet for approximately 2.5 hours.
There are no facilities on-site - the nearest public facilities are in Low Bradfield, less than 5 minutes away by car. It can be quite wet underfoot and we will go off-path so good walking boots or shoes are required. Detailed directions will be sent ahead of the day.
*If you are unable to attend this walk, we will be holding an online event about our work at Ughill Farm in early October.
