Join us for a guided walk around Ughill Farm with Keith Tomkins, Nature Recovery Manager, to discover how we are managing the site with wildlife at its heart.
During the walk, you will:
- Learn how we are building climate resilience across the farm
- See examples of recent habitat creation work, including woodland development, re-wetted areas, and measures to slow the flow of water during periods of heavy rainfall
- Have the opportunity to ask questions to Keith and dedicated volunteer Wendy, who have been involved with the farm since the Trust purchased it in December 2023
- Enjoy a walk in the countryside while spotting some of the site's wildlife
The afternoon walk is approximately 5km in length, will cover some uneven ground and will last about 2 hours.
There are no facilities on-site - the nearest public facilities are in Low Bradfield, less than 5 minutes away by car. It can be quite wet underfoot and we will go off-path so good walking boots or shoes are required. Detailed directions will be sent ahead of the day.
*If you are unable to attend this walk, we will be holding an online event about our work at Ughill Farm in early October.
