Under 18s volunteering

For this one off volunteer work day we will be welcoming young people aged 14 to 17 to join us without being accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our Youth Officer, Corrie, will be supporting the young people attending the session. If you would like to take part please book a Youth Ticket and complete the consent form that you will receive by email. Feel free to get in touch with Corrie on c.porter-young@wildsheffield.com if you would like any more information or have any questions.

Are you 14 to 17 and would like to volunteer on a work day? Please get in touch in advance with us on nature.reserves@wildsheffield.com so that relevant forms are filled in beforehand and the work day is suitable. If you are 14 - 15 you must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If you are 16 - 17 you will need to have a parental consent form.

Cautions and convictions

If you have a caution, unspent conviction or spent conviction that is not defined as protected, as part of our duty of care we have a process that we need to follow before we can decide whether to accept your application to volunteer. Please therefore do NOT sign up via our ticket system but instead contact volunteering@wildsheffield.com to discuss next steps.

Adults with care & support needs

If you have / are a support worker, please contact us to ensure that the correct documentation including a personal risk assessment and (if appropriate) a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan is filled in before volunteering can be started - contact volunteering@wildsheffield.com.
