'Four older Sudanese filmmakers with passion for film battle to bring cinema-going back to Sudan, not without resistance. Their 'Sudanese Film Club' have decided to revive an old cinema, and again draw attention to Sudanese film history.'
Featured review - 'Talking about Trees' is a beautiful portrait of friendship and hope. With four light hearted protagonists who still maintain the gravity of their situation in a claustrophobic environment. To see them explore their expression in conversation and their pursuits is most inspiring to the rest to us. It only makes us, fellow filmmakers want to capture our own environment in its humblest, most honest form.'
Join us for a powerful screening of 'Talking About Trees' - a film that explores the revival of Sudanese cinema at a time of mass government censorship.
