Start your career with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals as a Dental Nurse Apprentice!
Dental Nurses provide chair side support to all dental professionals and ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control. Dental Nurses also prepare instruments, materials and medicaments for dental procedures, mix materials, sterilise instruments, keep records, note dictation, carry out stock control and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.

About the event:
Join us on Friday 24th May 5-6pm or Monday 10th June 12-1pm.
At the event, we’ll be sharing more about the apprenticeship, what you’ll do day-to-day, and the learning, skills and training you’ll receive throughout. There will also be advice and tips to help your application, as well as the chance to ask questions.
Who should attend:
The event is ideal for anyone interested in an apprenticeship in dental nursing or an entry-level clinical role in the NHS.
To apply for the apprenticeship (see further information below for link), you’ll need to have GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or Functional Skills Level 2 and have been a UK/EU resident for at least the past three years.
You’ll also need good organisation skills, be confident communicating with other people, and be able to work both independently and in a team. You might also have some existing work experience (paid, voluntary or through school/college/university).
