Disaster Risk Planning Role Playing Game

An engaging, educational and fun activity for anyone wanting to learn how to build community resilience in the face of escalating climate and ecological disasters.

We're too late to prevent climate change but not too late to prevent the worst outcomes. Now is the time to prepare for what you will do in the next disaster. How will you protect your loved ones and neighbours in the next flood, storm or lockdown?

Come play a lighthearted choose your own adventure game with serious and unsettling undertones. In groups, you will take on the role of various organisations around the city and imagine what you'll do the next time the world breaks down.

Accessibility

Access by ramps, slopes and or manual doors - easy/moderate ramp slope with manual or automatic doors at entrance or inside venue space for wheelchair 75cm.

Seating will be available.

WC accessible - step free access to accessible toilet, with grab rails, drop down rails and space for wheelchair 75cm. Step free access to standard toilets on ground floor or accessible by lift. Parking - public car park within 200m of venue.

Venue

Broomhall Centre, Broomspring Lane, Sheffield S10 2FD.

The venue is close to tram stops, bus stops and free on-street car parking.

Ticket Pricing

We want as many as people as possible to attend our events and don't want ticket prices to be a barrier. At the same time, we need to raise enough money to cover costs, such as hiring the venue. We've put together a sliding scale of ticket prices so that we can raise the money we need, without pricing anyone out.

When booking a place, we would ask that you select the ticket that you can afford:

• £5 Standard Ticket: This is what our budget says we need to charge to cover the event.
• £8 Solidarity Ticket: If you are comfortable and have a decent income, please consider paying a little more.
• £3 Low Income Ticket: For people on lower incomes who cannot afford the full ticket price.
• No Charge Ticket: For people who have no disposable income at all.
