VISIONS festival
Sheffield Transformed presents Visions, a one-day festival and party!
We are living through a time of intense political upheaval — in the UK and around the world. With the far right marching in the streets, Reform topping the polls, and imperialism causing incalculable devastation, it can be easy to feel despair at the state of the world.
Despite this, grassroots activists in South Yorkshire and across the globe continue to support their communities, fight oppression, and build alternatives to capitalism. Within this context, the Visions festival is a chance for the left in South Yorkshire to inspire each other, build our movement, and express our collective vision for the future!
Throughout Saturday 19th September, the festival will give people the chance to hear new ideas, take part in discussion, and get organised. Sessions will cover local, national and international issues and provide a space for radical, collaborative and creative political education.
Over the day, multiple sessions will run simultaneously in SADACCA and outside. We'll discuss a broad range of topics — from AI and the hostile environment through to community organising and parenting. As well as political analysis and strategising, the festival will also include outdoor workshops, a radical history tour, a book swap, and music-making. We'll launch the full programme soon!
Refreshments and lunch will be provided on a pay-what-you-can basis, subject to availability.
And make sure to come through to the Visions afterparty from 9pm to 2am at Zephyr's (Stag Works, 84 John St, S2 4QU). DJs will include members of Club Rez, Amledd and Calabash!, alongside members of City of Sanctuary Sheffield's volunteer team and other local DJs who support our politics.

Ticket Pricing
We want as many as people as possible to attend the festival and don't want ticket prices to be a barrier. At the same time, we need to raise enough money to cover costs, such as hiring the venue. We've put together a sliding scale of ticket prices so that we can raise the money we need, without pricing anyone out.
When booking a place, we would ask that you select the ticket that you can afford:
- £10 Standard Festival Ticket: This is the default ticket price.
- £15 Solidarity Festival Ticket: If you are comfortable and have a decent income, please consider paying a little more.
- £6 Low Income Festival Ticket: For people on low incomes who cannot afford the full ticket price.
- £0 No Charge: For people who have no disposable income at all. Free tickets are also available to under-18s and carers attending with a ticketholder.
- Party Tickets: Our Saturday night party requires a separate ticket to the festival — also available on a sliding scale
