Tantric Shibari — a guided intimacy experience
• 4 hours • max 4 couples • €150 per couple • English & German

Are you looking to deepen your connection with your partner, playing with a stronger sense of polarity and intimacy?
What you get:
A curated, professionally guided session for absolute beginners that combines nervous-system regulation, partner communication practices, Tantric connection and safe Shibari techniques — you leave with practical rituals, renewed closeness and tools to practice at home.
- Pre-session intake & safety briefing
- Instructor-guided partner exercises leading into a full Shibari experience
- Post-session take-home sheet with techniques reminders
The
combination of Tantra and Shibari can be an intense and transformative
experience, combining different aspects of consciousness and physical
sensations:
- In Tantra we work with the energies of Shiva/Shakti and Yin/Yang, while in Shibari we explore dynamics such as domination/submission or control/surrender. These complementary aspects enhance the experience and create a charged, intense tension between the partner
- In intimate and playful exercises, we explore the commonalities of both practices, learn essential Shibari techniques and implement tantric methods to strengthen awareness and connection.

This workshop offers you the opportunity to explore the world of Tantric Shibari at your own pace and to playfully experiment with powerful dynamics.
We will work with concrete examples to show you how to vary and skillfully combine these essential elements, enabling you to create a deeply intimate and intense experience with your partner.
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this workshop for?
Designed for couples and intimate partners who want to deepen presence, trust and sensual communication. No prior rope experience required — curiosity and consent are sufficient.
What will we actually learn?
Practical partner sequences, Tantric connection and presence practices, Shibari beginner knots and tools to create a significant controlled and save session that you can repeat and practise at home. The emphasis is on co-regulation and connection rather than performance.
Is this sexual or explicit?
The sessions are intimate and sensual by design but not a sexual performance. All activities are governed by explicit consent and personal boundaries; participants control the pace and level of intimacy.
Do you provide ropes and equipment?
Yes — basic rope sets are provided for our workshops. You can also purchase high quality natural Jute rope, singed and oiled, ready to use, try it yourself!
What should I wear?
For the best experience, wear something playful and easy to move in – like underwear, a lungi, or a sarong.
How do you ensure safety?
Every session begins with safety briefings and partner check-ins. We teach injury-prevention, clear communication signals and do not progress to advanced suspension without assessment.

About Shibari Studio Berlin & the Instructor:
Shibari Studio Berlin is a dedicated space for Shibari workshops, Tantric-Shibari experiences, and private sessions in Berlin, founded in 2024 by multidisciplinary artist Dan Carabas.
The studio’s work focuses on intentional rope practice, embodied connection, and conscious intimacy, using Shibari and Kinbaku as tools for presence, communication, and trust. Experiences are designed for couples, individuals, and artists seeking a grounded, refined approach to rope — beyond technique or performance.
Dan Carabas has worked with Shibari and rope-based practices for over a decade alongside his internationally exhibited art project Metamorphic Sculptures. His teaching approach, often described as “the art of Shibari with intention,” emphasizes intimacy, awareness, and relational depth through rope.
