BATTLE ROYALE (2000)
A school trip takes a deadly turn when a class of teenagers is sent to a remote island to battle it out. 42 arrive but only one is allowed to leave. The classmates have only 3 days to complete the game but as the areas they can safely occupy shrink, tensions rise and paranoia sinks in. Who will survive?

It is no understatement to say that this movie is one of the most influential pieces of media in modern times and that it's influences are wide spread. We see the concept used in today's most popular video games (Fortnite, Call of Duty etc.), with the games even referring to the game style as "Battle Royale". We have also seen lots of movie and tv shows do their own spin on the concept.
