The Short+Sweet Film Festival Sydney is back! Showcasing the best local and international short films. What stories can you tell in 10 minutes?

No limits, other than your imagination.

This event is for the screening of the films made by filmmakers that are 25 years or younger that are chosen for the screening.

This screening commences on Saturday April 5, 2025 with screenings beginning at 3 pm at Building M - Music Department at TAFE NSW Ultimo Campus, entrance on Mary Anne Street, Ultimo.

The Short+Sweet Film Festival is unique as all films shown have run times of 10 minutes or under. We screen all sorts of films and all sorts of genres and support all sorts of filmmakers from seasoned pros to emerging artists. Each week will have a different program and different genres of films showcased. These will range from Student Made Films, Comedy, Documentary, and more!

Short+Sweet Founder Mark Cleary and incoming Festival Director Vivienne Payge Boucher have committed to delivering “a world class festival with an A-List Hollywood finale”.

Two films selected by judges as well as the audience pick will be screened at the Gala Final on May 17th. The winning films of the Gala Final will be screened in Los Angeles at the Short+Sweet Hollywood Film Festival in October/November 2025 and there are many other awesome prizes up for grabs including but not limited to: Best Film, Best Director, People's Choice, and Best Actors.
