Music and stories from the Gaelic tradition. A bardic revival of land-based balladry, linking cultural origins to this time of need.
“Siarimis” is a Gaelic word meaning “let’s go west”, indicating, in this particular form, “let’s go back.”
Cumberland-based duo Kes Reid and Lou Kinglish draw on their Irish and Scottish heritage to explore love, land and loss through folk songs and storytelling. Expect traditional instruments, harmonies, laughter and heartache, leading us back to the beauty of belonging to some old time and place.
Siarimis presents traditional folk songs and original compositions alongside traditional stories that illuminate the history and beauty of the Gaelic tradition.
