GRAND STRETCH SESSIONS presents - Jack Talty and Ruairí McGorman

Our grand stretch continues with the powerhouse traditional duo of Jack Talty and Ruairí McGorman. 

Jack Talty is an award-winning traditional musician, and producer from County Clare. Founder of Raelach Records, he has contributed to over 100 albums. A Lecturer in Irish Traditional Music at University College Cork, he established UCC’s first MA in Irish Traditional Music and serves on the National Campaign for the Arts steering committee.

Ruairí McGorman is a bouzouki player from County Meath and one of Ireland's most sought-after accompanists in traditional music. Ruairí has appeared on almost 20 albums, recording and performing with many of Irish traditional music's leading artists and his playing is recognised for its rhythmic sensitivity, musical restraint, and deep understanding of accompaniment.

We are delighted to host the lads as they play tunes from jacks latest recording of original compositions, Coire an Cheoil that will be available on the night.
