Who knew a pair of mating snakes could unleash so much havoc?

From separate worlds,  one ancient one modern, Ty and Tiresias seek connection, through time, through sound and through touch until something rips open.

The capricious whims of the gods, the magic in birdsong and surveillance state capitalism are braided through this time travelling tale of mortals fumbling towards grace.

Created and performed by a team of trans and blind artists this cross-cultural collaboration explodes the mythology surrounding Tiresias, the blind seer of Thebes.

Running time is 2 hours including intermission.

Neither Here nor There has been created to better include Low Vision & Blind audience members. This means elements of the production have been adjusted, added, and considered in consultation with members of the Low Vision & Blind community. Some of these elements include:

  • An embedded performance introduction that includes: (1) an introduction of the actors and their characters, (2) an introduction to the design and staging elements.

  • Integrated description There are moments in the play where responsive language has been integrated to convey character and stage action. This has been especially considered in moments where movement and staging is not able to be conveyed by text or sound elements. For this reason, there will be no described performance.

  • Directional sound that conveys the location of stage elements and playing areas.

A Touch Tour will be available before every performance. Low Vision and Blind audience members will be prioritized. Audience members interested in attending the touch tour are invited to communicate their interest in these seats to Theresa Thomson (Artistic Producer, Sick & Twisted) by using the email: sandtartisticproducer@gmail.com.

ASL Interpretation will be available during the performance on Friday June 13th at 7:30pm. For this performance there will be an outlined seating area for members of the d/Deaf community. Audience members of this community are invited to communicate their interest in these seats to Theresa Thomson (Artistic Producer, Sick & Twisted) by using the email: sandtartisticproducer@gmail.com.
