Creating A Character From The Outside In

Use costume, props, and improv exercises to create a brand new character from the outside in.
Suitable for professional and aspiring Theatre Makers, Actors, and Writers.

In this 2-hour workshop, participants will be guided, through improv and theatrical exercises, to create the seed of a new character, using costume and props as an access point. Whether you’re an actor, theatre maker, or aspiring novelist, this workshop will provide you with tools to get out of your head and approach the creative process from the outside in.

Claudia Jefferies is a Theatre Maker, Writer, and Performer who grew up in Swindon. She has a Masters Degree in Physical Theatre and has been creating solo and collaborative performances for over a decade. Her work has been programmed and supported by Battersea Arts Centre, Camden People’s Theatre, Exeter Phoenix, and Theatre Royal Plymouth, among others.

All costumes and props will be provided on the day.
