The Story Spark Workshop: Creative Writing with a Difference
Need help?
Award-winning children's folk horror author - and Swindon born - Emily Randall-Jones hosts an imaginative creative writing workshop, drawing from the town's own folklore.
There are so many ways of telling a story - and not everyone's the same. Sitting down for hours isn't the only way to write. The spark of storytelling can be found anywhere, so this is creative writing session will be something a little different. Emiol latest book 'The Scream of the Whistle' is a spooky, folksy adventure based in Wiltshire, and inspired by Swindon Steam Works and her family's history there.
Drawing on the town's past, folklore and rumoured hauntings, Emily will help you find your own way of telling stories through drama games, scavenger hunts, art, music and sharing spooky stories round an (imaginary) campfire.
