3-Day Summer Code School: ages 10 -17

Using beginner-friendly programming tools, game design software and devices like the BBC micro:bit, you’ll learn how to turn your ideas into digital projects over three exciting days.
Guided by experienced tutors, participants will explore coding, game making and simple robotics while building their own projects step by step. You’ll experiment with different tools, develop your ideas and bring them to life through interactive design and programming.
You will learn:
- The basics of coding and how programs work
- How to design and build your own simple games
- How to program and use the BBC micro:bit for interactive and robotic projects
- Creating animations, controls and interactive features
- Problem-solving, logical thinking and debugging skills
- Focus, independence and project planning skills
By the end of the three days, you’ll have created your own games, robots or interactive project and gained a good understanding of how coding works.
Please note that these workshops are intended for residents of Harwich and the Tendring area. We kindly ask that bookings are made only by those who live within these communities. If you book a place and are not based in these areas, we may need to cancel your booking to ensure spaces remain available for local residents.
