Felting with Farren - Toad Stool Abode
Who lives in a mushroom? Come find out when you create a Toad Stool Abode. Farren will guide you step by step to create a 3D soft mushroom sculpture. From there you can decide to keep it a simple toadstool or install a magical door that leads to a fantastical mushroom dwelling family.
We have a fantastic creative space complete with refrigerator and powder room. We cap the class at 12 so everyone gets personal attention. Whether you are new to needle felting or an old pro, this is a wonderful way to enjoy an afternoon in the fresh air. Brings snacks or beverages (adult or otherwise). Come relax on our peaceful farm in a comfortable space and take home a beautiful treasure.

I'm so excited to share this unique art form with you.
Needle felting is a process that sculpts wool into any shape you imagine. Wool fibers are covered with scales. When you agitate the fibers, the scales lock together and thus, the felting occurs. In needle felting we use special barbed needles that lock the scales of the fiber together. What this looks like in real time, is stabbing fluffy colorful wool over and over with sharp needles. Wet felting uses that same 'shock' factor to agitate the fibers into a smooth piece.
