Ebook Foundations: Essential Knowledge for Publishing Professionals

Welcome to the first public run of my Ebook Foundations live online course, everything you need to know about ebooks from design to distribution! For those who don't know me, I'm Simon Mellins, and ebook industry veteran with 15 years of digital publishing experience, including over a decade at Penguin Random House and several years as a consultant helping publishers across sectors and geographies. I have trained more publishing professionals on digital topics than I could possibly count at this stage, and I'm thrilled to present my new flagship course on all things ebook-related.

This one-day interactive online course gives publishing professionals everything they need to know to feel confident about ebook publishing, from the origins of the EPUB format through to gritty workflow realities. We assume no prior knowledge beyond the basics of the publishing process, and work to build everyone's knowledge to a common level, including ensuring we are using the right terms in the right ways.
