A long awaited dream of bringing her two beloved community choirs together is coming true!

On Saturday 5th December, Hackney Harmony will join Zu Choir for an evening of uplifting, healing and unifying songs in gorgeous harmony. They will be singing a mix of Sophia's original compositions along side some choir favourites from the last 15 years.

Saturday 5th December @ Lewes Town Hall, High St, Lewes BN7 2QS

Doors open at 4pm

Singing starts at 4:30pm

There will be mulled wine, mince pies and herbal teas for sale in the interval and after the concert ends.

*There are 3 ticket options available - please consider paying the top end of what you can afford as the money will be going towards 2 charities who are doing some really good work in the world*

The proceeds from this event will be split between 2 charities - 'Samas' and 'Trees of Hope in Zimbabwe'

'SAMAS' is a community organisation based in Crowborough, East Sussex, that began as a volunteer initiative supporting newly arriving migrants, asylum seekers and refugees. Through practical help, creative programmes and community integration, it brings local residents and those seeking safety together to build a welcoming, inclusive environment where trust, respect and shared stories nurture lasting bonds and a sense of belonging.

'Trees of Hope' is a charity very close to Sophia's heart. She first visited Zimbabwe in 2016, at the start of her journey with Denise Rowe - her treasured teacher, friend and now co-facilitatior - and the music and spiritual traditions of this country have been hugely influential on her journey both personally and professionally. Trees of Hope raise awareness of how essential trees are to a safe future and a thriving ecosystem, while designing and implementing practical, sustainable solutions for tree planting, care and safeguarding. By empowering local communities, including children, young people and adults, to create positive change for future generations, and by promoting the vital relationship between music, the arts, landscape and community, we hope to nurture both the land and the people who live alongside it.
