Description
Join us for a two or three course meal at the charming Olde Windmill Inn at Great Cressingham. A village inn since circa 1650, The Olde Windmill Inn has been run by the Halls family for over 55 years and has built its reputation on serving fine food. It's charm and character make it the perfect setting for our next meal.
Open to members & guests, booking for this event closes either on the 28th of March or when all places booked are filled. There will be up to twenty of us and the aim is to have equal numbers of ladies and gentlemen.
You can choose either two or three courses from a wide menu below, please ask me for GF options.
Starters
Soup of the day: (Homemade) - Served with croutons, French bread & Butter.
Crispy Breadcrumb Mushrooms - Served with garlic mayonnaise dip and dressed garnish.
Classic Prawn Cocktail - Served with Marie-Rose sauce, dressed mixed salad and granary bread and butter.
King Prawns in Tempura - King Prawns in a tempura batter, served with sweet chili dipping sauce and dressed mixed garnish.
Mushroom Bruschetta A crisp piece of toasted French bread, with sauteed mushrooms in a creamy cheese & peppercorn sauce.
Windmill Potato Long Boat Starter - a potato skin, loaded with sautéed mushrooms and onions, topped with crispy bacon pieces and melting cheddar cheese. Served with soured cream dip & garnish.

8oz Rump Steak (Raw weight) - Grilled to your liking with chipped potatoes, peas, dressed garnish and breaded onion rings. (Option - Stilton Sauce or Red Wine and Mushroom or Garlic and Herb Butter)
2 x 5oz Pork Loin Steaks - Grilled to your liking with chipped potatoes, peas, dressed garnish and breaded onion rings. (Option Stilton Sauce or Red Wine and Mushroom or Garlic and Herb Butter)
Grilled Gammon Steak - Grilled and served with fried egg or grilled pineapple, chipped potatoes, peas, onion rings, & garnish.
Cajun Butterfly Chicken Steak - Served with chipped potatoes, garden peas, dressed garnish and breaded onion rings.
Lemon and Pepper Butterfly Chicken Steak - Served with chipped potatoes, garden peas, dressed garnish and breaded onion rings.
Chicken New Yorker - Grilled chicken, topped with bacon and melted cheese with a side of BBQ sauce. Served with chipped potatoes, peas, dressed garnish and breaded onion rings.

Traditional Steak, Red Wine, and Rosemary Pie - Succulent pieces of diced beef cooked with onions, carrots and mushrooms cooked in a rich red wine, tomato and rosemary gravy, topped with a puff pastry lid. Served with mashed potatoes and garden peas.
Thai Beef Curry (Massaman) - A home-cooked curry made with succulent diced beef, cooked with peppers, onions, in a blend of Thai spices, coconut milk, coriander, ginger and chili to make a rich & medium spiced curry sauce. Served with white rice, mango chutney and a crisp poppadum.
Traditional Sausage & Mash - Grilled pork sausages served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. Served with a rich red wine and onion gravy, garden peas and crispy onion rings.
Windmill Steak Hoagie - Strips of beef, onions and mushrooms sautéed with garlic in a baguette topped with melted cheese. Served with chipped potatoes, coleslaw and dressed garnish.
Windmill Ham OR Sausage Eggs & Chips - Local cooked ham OR local sausages 2 x eggs and chipped potatoes, with a dressed garnish.
