About the Workshops

In addition to the performances, SING! Edmonton will also offer a range of workshops and educational opportunities. Workshops will cover a wide range of topics, from vocal techniques and arranging to stage presence and group dynamics, and will be led by experienced professionals and educators. These workshops will provide valuable insights and skills for aspiring a cappella singers and group leaders.

May 3rd Workshops: Allard Hall (11110 104 Ave NW), topics scheduled to include:

• 10AM | Arranging and Rearranging: No Score is Sacred with Apocalypse Kow
• 11:15AM | Protecting Your Instrument: Essential techniques to maintain vocal health and endurance with Sable Chan
• 12:30PM | Screening of The Beginning of Happiness, co-directed by friend-of-the-festival Jane Berry
• 1:30PM | The Effortless Voice: Unlock the potential of your voice with better tone, breath control, and longevity with Jessica Wagner
• 2:45PM | Ring True: Dive into the rich harmonies and techniques of barbershop singing with The Grove City Barbershop Harmony Chorus
• 2-5PM | Beatboxing Groove Lab: Crafting Rhythms & Vocal Sounds with beatbox champions Peterpot & BIGSQUID

Throughout the festival, the emphasis will be on collaboration, sharing, and education. The goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where attendees can connect with other a cappella enthusiasts, share their experiences and knowledge, and learn from one another.
