ACTIVE BYSTANDER TRAINING

What is bystander training?

This practical, empowering workshop will equip participants with the skills to recognise sexual harassment, appreciate levels of intervention, interrupt harmful behaviour, and take safe, effective action in real time. Grounded in trauma‑informed, survivor‑centred practice.

Participants will learn how to spot early warning signs, challenge problematic language and conduct, and choose from a range of evidence‑based intervention strategies that prioritise safety and dignity. Through scenario work, reflective discussion, and guided practice, attendees will build confidence to speak up, support those targeted, and contribute to safer, more respectful environments.

This July, join us to learn new skills and to make Brighton safer and better for everyone. We don't think that male violence against women and girls is just a women's issue. It falls on all of us to work together and make change, that is why this is a mixed sex event. Bring your brothers, partners, sons.

Did you know that sex-based harassment is now a crime, punishable by up to two years in prison?

About us...

Our crèche is FREE! Please book by midnight on the Wednesday 8th July so we can plan the play space. Do let us know of any additional needs they have. If a crèche environment is not appropriate for your child, we will happily pay their regular care worker to have them for the duration to enable you to join us.

If you have no recourse to public funds please get in touch and we can cover travel costs.
