Divine Fetish by Haus of Somatica

This workshop is a guided somatic workshop exploring the relationship between spirituality, sensuality and embodied self-expression through movement, breath and sound. The session begins with a Kirtan opening, a collective call-and-response mantra practice that helps ground the group and create a shared energetic space. Participants are guided through breathwork and embodied awareness exercises designed to connect with bodily sensations and release tension. Crystal singing bowls will be used to attune the sacral and heart chakras, supporting emotional openness and grounding.

The workshop then moves into somatic movement exploration, where participants are invited to follow their internal rhythms through guided prompts and music. Movement may range from slow, meditative gestures to more instinctive and primal forms of expression. Tantra-inspired embodied practices are introduced to explore presence and sensory awareness. Some exercises may involve blindfolds, temporarily removing visual cues in order to explore sensation and presence.

Participants may also be invited into optional partner exercises, such as breathing together, gentle touch practices or eye-gazing, designed to explore boundaries and consent in a mindful way. All partner work is optional, and solo alternatives are always available.

The workshop expands into Primal Free Flow, an open movement phase where participants are invited to embody different aspects of themselves and move freely without choreography or expectation. The session concludes with a closing circle, bringing the group back together through sound and collective resonance.

Bio

Haus of Somatica

Venus is a somatic dance artist committed to Divine disruption. Through somatic dance, they explore the release of habitual patterns through a radical encounter with the body, creating a transformative space for shift and expansion. Participants are invited to navigate their internal landscapes, fostering self-discovery and acceptance through embodied articulation. Embracing metamorphosis, Venus encourages participants to connect with the primal, sensuous liminal space, cultivating a deeper sense of peace with what is. Through surrender to the process, this practice can ignite personal evolution and deepen connection to oneself and the Divine.

Venus (they/them) is a London-based wellbeing facilitator, performance artist and musician. A graduate of SOAS University in World History and Philosophy, they explore the relationship between body, spirituality and social structures. Originally working in fashion, Venus later moved into embodied and esoteric practices, training in Yoga, Pilates, sound healing and Kirtan. For over ten years they have facilitated workshops and performances across diverse environments, exploring how holistic wellbeing can exist beyond traditional studio spaces. Their work sits at the intersection of somatic movement, Tantra-inspired practices and fetish aesthetics, exploring the body as a site of expression, transformation and liberation. Venus is an advocate for accessibility and inclusivity in wellbeing. They are the LGBT+ representative for Om & Bass Festival and the founder of The 11th House, a platform creating accessible wellbeing spaces for queer and intersectional communities.
