Winter TRAIL RUN and Lochside Sauna
Winter TRAIL RUN and Lochside Sauna
Start your Sunday with an invigorating trail run along a short section of the West Highland Way followed by a warming sauna session on the shores of Loch Lomond.
The trail run will be a social pace (i.e. allowing us to chat!) on paths and tracks with minimal elevation, suited to runners who already enjoy running 5km on roads in 30-35 minutes.
We will then have exclusive use of the Hot Tottie wood-fired sauna for 1 hour (maximum 9 people). The sauna is on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond, at the end of the road, so peace, quiet, and cracking views are guaranteed, whatever the weather.
What's included:
- a 1 hour guided trail run
- a 1 hour sauna session exclusively for our group (max 9) with the option of a dip in the loch
- all the planning; you can just turn up and enjoy!
What do you need to bring:
- running kit: running shoes (preferably trail running ones), gloves, waterproof jacket
- change of clothes and shoes
- sauna kit: two towels (one for sitting on, one to dry yourself), swimsuit, water bottle, flipflops/Crocs/aqua shoes.
- there are no changing facilities so bring a Dryrobe or large towel
- water and/or hot drink
- snacks if you anticipate getting hungry
The meeting point will be communicated in the lead up to the event. It isn't accessible by public transport but car sharing can be arranged from Glasgow or picking up along the way e.g. Milngavie or Drymen (please just make a note of this when booking).
Please note this event is for women and non-binary people.
