Need help?

You are invited to join us for our training on 'Using Creative Activities and Literature to Support Bereaved Children'. This training is approved through the British Psychological Society Quality Mark Scheme for the purposes of CPD.
Learning outcomes:
- An understanding of why creative activities are useful when working with bereaved children, with the opportunity to have a go at some ‘hands on’ activities.
- An introduction to using literature with bereaved children.
- An awareness of how writing helps bereaved children ‘tell their story’.
- An introduction to grief education in secondary schools using music and drama.
- An introduction to grief education in primary schools using literature.
During this training, we intend to explain and demonstrate a variety of activities that you might use to support a bereaved pupil. The training will be practical and hands-on in nature; you will have the chance to complete each activity yourself, to understand the thinking and methodology behind it, and to make notes and ask questions of our clinical team.
We hope it will be a relaxed and interesting session for everyone who is able to join us. You will receive a certificate of completion from us following the training.
