Untutored Saturday Afternoon Life Drawing - Long pose set 2x1 hour poses with new model Vanessa

SMArT presents: Saturday Afternoon Life Drawing –Untutored Long pose set with Vanessa 2 x 1hr poses

Model & Set

After a 5 minute warm up, we will do a long pose set with a warm welcome to new model Vanessa. It will be a  2 long  x1 hour poses. Brilliant for a longer study or colour studies.

What’s involved
This untutored session is designed and run by SMArT — Sara Myers Art — offering a focused, spacious environment to draw in the presence of a professional model. Whether you’re developing your practice, returning to drawing after a break or simply enjoying the meditative pace of life drawing, you’re welcome.

The studio at Yardley Arts is large and day‑lit, with high windows, spot lighting and plenty of room to work. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available, along with access to the kitchen and the sculpture garden.

What’s provided
Easels, drawing boards, clips, basic A2 cartridge paper or sugar paper and a small selection of general materials are provided. You’re warmly encouraged to bring your preferred papers and media — charcoal, graphite, ink, pastels — whatever helps you work comfortably. The session is also a relaxed social space for meeting others who enjoy drawing and creative exploration.

Ethos
SMArT sessions are built on a simple principle: this is a creative space. That means quiet respect, non‑judgement and full permission to experiment. You can take risks, make bold marks, change direction or start again without comment. It’s a room where people can draw freely, privately and without comparison.

Accessibility
There is a wheelchair‑accessible entrance at the back of the building, through the garden gate, which is open during the session. The entrance is up a slope. I’m very happy to offer additional help if the slope or fire‑doors are difficult. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
