SECRETS OF DRAYCOTE - A Groundbreaking Lure Fishing Event

This autumn, something truly special is coming to Draycote Water. For the first time in its history, this iconic venue will host a lure-only fishing competition - a bold new chapter in British sport angling. Welcome to SECRETS OF DRAYCOTE, our newest fishing project, designed for passionate anglers who dare to explore uncharted waters with rod and lure.

Held on Sunday, 5th October 2025, this exclusive one-day event invites teams of two to compete by boat, navigating the vast and pristine expanse of Draycote in pursuit of pike and perch. With a strict lure fishing only format (including vertical jigging), competitors will rely on skill, strategy, and instinct to succeed.

Main Competition Format.
Fishing Method: Lure only (including vertical jigging)

Scoring Target Species:
• Perch - 1 cm = 2.1 points (best 2 fish count)
• Pike - 1 cm = 1 point (best 2 fish count)

Catfish Challenge - A Side Quest for the Bold.
In a thrilling addition to the main competition, we introduce the Catfish Challenge - a unique opportunity for those targeting one of freshwater’s most elusive predators.

• Biggest catfish wins the Catfish Trophy.

Every angler who lands a catfish will receive a special prize from our Sponsor: WESTIN.
With mystery and reward in equal measure, this side challenge is not for the faint-hearted.

REFUND POLICY.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather can affect participation in our events. To ensure fairness for both participants and organisers, our refund policy is as follows:

Cancellation Due to Extreme Weather.
If an event is canceled or rescheduled due to extreme weather conditions, participants are eligible for a partial refund of 60% of the registration fee.
The remaining 40% is retained to cover non-recoverable expenses, including trophies, staffing, venue fees, and other event-related costs.

Rescheduled Events.
Participants are encouraged to attend the rescheduled event.
If a participant cannot attend the rescheduled date, the partial refund (60%) will apply.

Refund Process.
Refund requests must be submitted within [3 days] of the event cancellation notice.
Refunds will be processed within [14 days] via the original payment method.

No Refunds for Personal Circumstances.
Refunds will not be issued for personal circumstances unrelated to event cancellation or rescheduling due to extreme weather.
