Smart Works Reading, the charity that helps women succeed at job interviews through its free interview coaching and dressing service, is launching its International Women's Day fundraising campaign Step Up For Smart Works with an inspiring 10,000-step walk through Reading town centre, joined by Olympic Medallist and Smart Works Reading Ambassador Victoria Thornley. The launch event, organised in partnership with local walking organisation Walk Works, will take place on Tuesday, 4th March 2025, starting at 8:00 AM from Blue Collar Corner. This community walk invites Reading residents and businesses to kick off the month-long Step Up For Smart Works challenge, which encourages participants to walk 10,000 steps daily throughout March while raising funds for the charity. The timing of the campaign aligns with International Women's Day celebrations, embodying the spirit of women supporting women in our community.
